Our Story
Behind this business is James Le Peuple, the founder of OurPatch Ltd, who previously had run community gardens in Worthing and Brighton with the support from kind-hearted, unemployed adults, many with learning disabilities. Many years later, James met and married Becky and together, they decided to run their own community markets after having sold their own products in markets across Bristol.
After a year of successful markets which developed increasing sales for a range of talented artisans, James realised he could develop the initiative into a self-propelling CIC where workshops could be run during and/or before markets where people are welcome to sit and be creative with guidance while perhaps enjoying a coffee from the community café also run by volunteers. Furthermore, the goal was to teach volunteers to make items they are proud of which (as well as taking home), they could sell on our own volunteer-run market stall to reinvest the money back into the CIC.

Funding allows us to support our volunteers to both, make beautiful items in therputic workshops to take home, and sell on our market stalls.
